Children are fortunate, year on end they receive presents of all sorts and if they are really lucky then these can be terrific electronic and gadgets that just seem to pile up in a dump somewhere in the room. With Christmas presents, birthday presents, family visits there is no end to the amount of gifts they receive throughout the year all ending up with the same result. One big mess! Time to put your foot down and teach him the importance of cleanliness.

Playtime is a part of a kids life, a chance for them to associate and share their toys and gizmos with the other kids. But they must realise that when it's over they must tidy up after themselves. That novelty feature from granddad, that electronic race car from daddy will only end up getting smashed otherwise. If they are disinterested in helping to tidy up all their toys, show them the result by making it hard for him to locate his coolest toy next time he wants it. Let him know that had if he organized himself better he would not have had to look so hard for his best toy.

Turning tidying up into a game is a great way to show him that it does not have to be boring. Keeping him happy at the same time will keep him wrapped-up with the dull task ahead. Let's face it, cleaning is boring. Hey maybe your one of the few who finds it great fun. Get him or her to select brightly colour storage boxes from your local toy store to allow him to organize his toys into compartments naming the colour boxes as he goes. Remember it's a game not a chore.

Another great tip is getting him to help you around the house. Remember it's not just their bedroom which must be kept tidy. Fun time is ok but only if we clean up after. There's lots of electronics and gadgets in the house that must be separated from all the toy gizmos that children may play with. Keeping your area clean is vital as well as this shows that you're playing your part in making sure all your things are put away.

It's vital that kids are shown love and attentions for good things that they achieve. Showing your child that his work around the house and his room has not gone undiscovered will lead to a positive feeling of achievement.. They will soon think it's the coolest game to play at home. Remember your child learns by watching and achieving. It cannot hurt either to add to his toys once in a while for good behaviour or even allow their friends round for a little party fun. But remember to impose the house rules, fun first but cleanup follows.

Another great bit of advice we can offer; schooling him about adulthood and how being responsible and tidy can lead to great outcomes. Treat your child like a grown up and help guide them in the right directing to being a tidy child and growing into a mature adult. If your always scolding him in front of other people and treat him like a baby he will only respond back with bitterness leading to less cooperation and a child like attitude.

Play with them and have fun to keep a healthy and positive relationship. With the right guidance cleaning up can become a fun thing to do with mommy and daddy.
